Late to the party: See Spears, Britney; Will & Grace

Ohmahgod, y'all!!! Britty Pears has signed on to appear in one of the last-ever episodes of 'Will & Grace' as a conservative Christian who becomes close friends with Jack. Clearly, the producers of the show went to the well and realized that there were, oh, two famous people who had never done time on 'W&G.' (The other? Oh, I don't know. Probably Brenda Vaccaro.) As excited as I am to see zitty Britty get away from K. Fed and their little rugrat and get back to work, I can't help but wonder why this is happening now. If Britty really wanted to make a stir with this appearance, she'd have done it in mid-2001, when her career was red-hot and The Cabinet was busy showcasing her 'ography at the old Pop Rocks! party in the East Village (Big up to DJ Gerson and his crabs!)
