I Have Mixed Feelings About You #1

This post is the first in a series--much like Clairee's brilliant Why Are You Famous?--in which we discuss a celebrity or, if we're so inspired, an average Joe Blow who inspires feelings of eh. I'll start with Amanda Peet. I just can't figure out how I feel about Ms. Peet, who somehow manages to straddle the line between hottie-bo-body in crappy comedic films (see: Stripped or The Whole Nine Yards), and yet, manages to weasel her way into high-profile Broadway shows and super-serious polemics like Syriana.

I'm confused, Amanda Peet. Are you smart and pretty? (Brooke Shields jump.) Or are you just lucky?
