Why Are You Famous, Bai Ling?

I don't think I even have anything to add here.

Point of order, Clairee! Bai Ling is NOT an admissable target for our wrath. She is a BLOW! of the highest proportions, and I, for one, fully endorse her continuing heinousness. Anybody who walks around willingly in outfits like that (and acts like a candy raver, to boot) and manages to be "famous" should be commended. You should be ashamed of yourself, slamming poor Bai and then praising one of the Rich Girls! Tsk, tsk!

LOL...I totally agree that she is a good blow, rather than a bad blow...but a blow nonetheless that certainly needs to be highlighted on the blog! And actually, I am confused for real why she's famous? What movies has she actually been in? All I know her from is blowing out left and right...incidentally, I just read some hilarious article with her (I think it was in the newest OK! magazine?) Check it out, she talks about how she thinks she is an amazingly talented singer. Too good to be true...

See, this is why she can't be ignored. There's too much to work with here. Actually, Bai was a hugely respected actress in her native China (I know, hard to believe) but she was really politically involved with the dissident movement and she's basically been banned from the country since she came to the US to launch her acting career. In fact, I think she has a Chinese Oscar or something outrageous like that. She played Richard Gere's lawyer in 'Red Corner' and has done a bunch of other movies, but in recent years she's just been a big ol' BLOW! who'll do anything for attention. Gotta love that!

(PS: I ain't mad atcha...I love me some Jamie Gliecher, too.)

I love me some Bai Ling! I wish she would have scored a part in "Memoirs of a Geisha", that would have been awesome. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to enjoy her fine work on VH1 instead.
