Liz Smith confirms today that "Dreamgirls" the movie is currently underway. Casting includes J Hud as Effie; with Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and Beyonce in supporting roles.

ok, so when i saw american idol's favorite pornstar expatriate, frenchie, sing at DC pride she introduced her version of "you're gonna love me" (which of course blew the tits off of every faggot in that crowd) she alluded to playing the role in the movie...apparently she's a liar.
